Thai/Shiatsu bodywork is a unique style of bodywork that utilizes a graceful and creative blend of acupressure, light stretching and compression via the thumbs, hands, knees and elbows. Thai/Shiatsu bodywork provides the satisfaction of touch along with a profound energy-balancing experience. It is based on thousands of years of Eastern philosophy and methods of healing.

The goal of Thai/Shiatsu bodywork is to restore a healthy and balanced flow of energy though the body by treating the meridian pathways that channel Chi (Ki), our life essence. Any blockage or stagnation of energy within the meridians can result in physical, psychological and emotional disease. Thai/Shiatsu bodywork helps balance energy on all levels, while also offering a relaxing and clinically therapeutic musculoskeletal treatment by releasing tension and restriction within the soft tissues, trigger points and muscles.

This approach helps the receiver feel safe, comfortable and trusting of the work, and supports the release of deeply patterns of tension within the body.
